Yes, you can add tempo changes anyplace in the master track. I'm sure other programs have better ways to make the rhythm "flow" (you ought to be able to just tap it in; I haven't seen how to do this in Cubasis so it's tedious for me)

I get spurious pitch bend messages when some apps quit (I also use the serial port). I have no real workaround other than to touch the pitch wheel to reset it.

Just magnify the view a little and use the pencil tool to draw the note longer or shorter. It's probably also possible to just play the note lengths in using step entry (that works for velocity and note # and other things; I don't know about note length.
