Transmitting slowly to computer with USB on Korg MC-1

I'm having a bit of trouble getting a quick signal to my computer from my Korg MC-1, making it incredibly hard to do anything with it, seriously, its almost useless. It seem like it takes a solid second to get to my computer. I have a USB connection, thats all. Is my computer slow? Have I set something up wrong? Is there a way to fix this?
