: I have hooked an evolution MK-261 up to my pc via the gameport wich came with my audigy soundcard.
: there is no sound when I hook it up and try in cubase v.2.0.1 I have not a clue what to do help please!

One of the common mistakes is connecting the MIDI OUT from the keyboard to the MIDI OUT on the computer.

Another one is not selecting the proper MIDI ports in the software you use.
The MIDI IN port should be set to SoundBlaster (SB IN or external IN)
and the MIDI OUT port should be whatever you use to generate sounds.
If it's the SoundBlaster card, make sure you don't select the external MIDI,
it would not produce any sounds.

If the SB IN is not listed as an option, you may have to install the MIDI
software for the SoundBlaster card.
