I have had a QS8 for 3 months now and am really enjoying it. This is the first MIDI intrument I have used and the learning curve hasn't been too bad. There are a lot of things I am still learning about this intrument and I like its expandablility. I love playing it and do not regret the purchase. In terms of it being too old, well I don't think that should matter. If it sounds good to you, you like the feel, etc that is most important.
