Check the Global Page 6 setup for Keyboard Mode and set it to Normal or Ch Solo. If the setting is for Out 1-16 it is the same as Local Off. The synth will output midi but the internal voices will not sound until midi is recieved at the midi input. This setup is used if a sequencer echoes the midi back in to the QS input to trigger the internal voices.
To access Global press Edit and then the -> Bank key.
