After a twelve year layoff, I unlatched the covers on my two rack cases of sequencing equipment to get back into midi. Since I previously used a long-dead PowerPc Mac,I purchased new sequencing software and a new midi interface (Midi Sport 2x2) and decided to add my QS S4 to the one rack space available. My old setup used an E-Mu, Roland, and Korg sound module over 32 midi channels. Each module is programmed to receive a specific allotment of midi channels based on the type of music being sequenced. For example, the Proteus was set up for Channels A1 to A9. The S4 has never been used even though it is over 10 yeas old. I have read the manual many times with no clear idea on how to set this unit up to receive 5 or 6 multi-timbral channels and be able to make the voice changes through the software. I am trying to reserving channels B12 to B16 for the S4. Can anyone walk me through the set up?
