Trying to use Cakewalk Pro 9 on my Alesis 7.1. I can send/record to the software, but can NOT get any midi sequence to trigger anything on the Alesis. I'm wondering if my MIDI IN is bad because it won't pass signals on the OUT or THRU either. I unplug and go into SR-16, Roland D10, Hammond XK-2 and Kurzweil SP76 and they ALL work, at least on one channel. Have been through all the Global Select functions, but admittedly not too well read on MIDI yet. Could I be doing something obviously wrong? I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks in advance.
