cakewalk pro 9 midi setup with korg 01/wfd...need help!

Hi there, can some one please tell me how to get the sounds from my korg 01/wfd synth into the cakewalk pro 9 for recording using the midi interface? I'm using a sound blaster live! value card and got a midi cable. So far I'm only able to get sounds from the soundcard's synth but not the korg. Please help, I'm still new to this. Thanks!
