Loading a mix uses takes a fair amount of time since there's a lot of data to load into the edit buffer. I've had this problem and the only solution I have is that if I have to change mixes within a song, I try to arrange the song so that I don't need continuous output from the qs and I make sure I send the mix change command from the sequencer several ticks ahead of time. If you're having problems in the beginning of a song, just leave an empty measure in the beginning to use for setting up the qs. The loading time is inherent to the qs' processor and there's nothing you can do. Also, a lot of times it's faster to change a program within a mix than selecting a new mix so you can try that too.

: Hi..I am new to sequencing and I came across this website and thought someone might be able to answer a question I have. I am trying to run the quadrasynth from an AkaiMPC2000 sequencer. The problem I have is the program switching of the alesis lags behind the sequencer...so the first note of the sequence is played using the previous program's sound..I am using a mix and having the sequencer change the programs..I hope I am making this clear.Any help out there??You can respond directly to my email below.Thanks.
