Hi, have you tried the pad sounds in the Sanctuary Q-card? There are quite a few. But try it before you buy one.
Also, I have been successful using program preset 3, #92 (fluid pad), then getting into the sample select and changing samples to something other then saving to user bank. Watch out for controller B though. Mod wheel makes nice timbre changes on fluid pad.
