: Can anyone tellme if it's possible to assign volume from one midi channel to either a slide controller
: or the extra foot pedal control on a QS8.1? I want to have control over the channel that I am playing
: live, separate from the rest of the sequence that is being played with either cakewalk or my flash
: ram card. I looked in the manual, and didn't see this, only that controller 7 is global volume.
: Thanks,

You probably want cc#7 to still function for the other channels in your sequence, so disabling response to this controller per channel won't do correct? You might try assigning pedal to cc#11 expression.
Korg synths use this configuration alot, but you will,no doubt, need to re-assign the volume in the patch to respond to #11 instead of #7.
I don't know if you want to store patches this way or not.Are you sure you can't just turn pedal response, per channel, off in Mix edit mode? I'm pretty sure you can. That way only the channel you are playing will respond to pedal data, regardless of cc#7 data in the sequence.
