: : I'm considering replacing my S4 and Soundbrush (Roland MIDI file player) with the QSR. Would appreciate feedback from those that have used the sequence playback features of the QSR.
: : Is playback reliable? Can you cue up the next song while the current one is playing? Is it difficult to access songs quickly with so few buttons on the QSR.
: : Thanks

: I find that the QSR is great for playing midi sequences. My only gripe with the QSR is it's awqwardness in selecting sequences. The spin wheel tends to be a little too sensative and there is no way to que up the next sequence.

: The QS8 is a lot easier for playing sequences for live performances, though this too does not posess the function of pre-queing.

: Word of advice, make sure if you are scoring to make the last two to three measures whole notes and the last a whole rest. Set the tempo of these measure to go from about 100 bpm to 1 bpm. This will allow for a natural fadeout effect without the need to do this manually.

: If you have questions email me.. :_)

:i wouldn't get rid of the sound brush regardless because the qs8 won't drive another synth if you play from the card, the midi out will be disabled
