: : : When playing some fasterr songs with cakewalk and the nanosynth the drums are missing beats, if you solo the drums their fine but as soon as you bring in another instrument the drums start missing beats again, almost like a slight pause ?

: : : Anybody any ideas ?

: : Check your polyphony. How many notes are simultaneously being sent to the synth.Remember, many patches use multiple voices,so heavily orchestrated passages may be subject to note stealing.

: The same song ( aint seen nothin yet) plays OK on my sound blaster 64 gold but misses on the nanosynth, Could a fast drum rif and a single guitar be enough the overload the nanosynth ?

It's possible. Some QS patches can utilize up to four vioces(or samples)per patch. This means that a single note canuse fiur vioces of your 64 note polyphony. Play a three note chord-12 voices used. Add some layering and other parts and you can use it up. I don't know how polyphony is allocated on your sound card. Try turning off a midi channel on the Nano and see if it makes a difference. If not, then you probably are dealing with a timing error from your sequencer, or interface.
