: : Looking to do my own sampling and assign to QS8.1 keys. Heard I need an audio editor to set loop points and make sample clean. Sound Forge is big $ for a sampler newbie. What are my options in the free/shareware dept.? Also, how do you assign diff samples to diff keyzones?

: The new version of soundbridge is available. This might help but you will need a flash ram card. The new soundbridge supports key mapping and if I understand correctly, wav files can be used as samples in the QSs. godd luck -Michael

You'll probably still want to set loop points and do cleanup and adjust levels and such. Read up on the process in the SoundBridge section of this site. There's also a list of software.
