I bought a Pretec 512K card recently. I can burn on 1 bank. But after I do and I decide to erase the card, I can't get the card to transfer files from my QS7. I get those same error messages.

: I experience the same thing with my 2MB card from Alesis. I can only get 49 Midi Files on the card. At first I thought I was running out of space on the card but that wasn't the problem.

: : I bought a Pretec FAD008-P two months ago and everything works on my QS-7.
: : The only problem was that I can store only 49 midi file in it, not 50, otherwise the burning become endless.
: : You can try to slow down COM speed in your computer.
: : : Forum... I thought it would be helpful to share my recent problems with the above card (Pretec part no. FAD008-P) with you. I was unable to get my card (including a straight-swap replacement) to work with my S4+ module. Soundbridge 1 refused to accept that there was a card in the module; Soundbridge 2.5.2 attempted to burn data to the card but no data was transferred. Error messages fluctuated between "CARD IS FLASH MEMORY. CANNOT STORE" and "CARD BANK IS ROM ONLY. CANNOT STORE". After an investigation by the supplier who provided me with the card, it turns out that Pretec has recently changed the specification of the card. Presumably it is no longer compatible with the S4+ (and, hence, other QS models)? I would strongly urge you to verify compatibility before ordering a third-party RAM card.
