: : What are the differences between the two synths.
: : I have found little info on the QS6.1 (mixermaps for VST, support, Midi capabilities)

: I think the main differences are the 6.1 has 4 control sliders vs 1,
: a slightly better screen, and dedicated transpose and sequence start buttons. I'm not sure about midi iprovements, but Alesis has not been trumpeting them if they exist.

The QS6.1 has 16megs of samples and the same voice list as the QS7 and QS8, and two card slots. The QS6 is only 8megs of samples and an entirely different list of programs and mixes, and one card slot. Hope this helps.
