I've been on vacation for a couple of weeks, so didn't reply in a timely manner. I don't know if there's an online posting of the Keyboard article mentioned previously, but my local public library carries Keyboard as may others.
Responding to "TL": I'm intriqued by the idea of loading sysex program banks as MIDI files. . . I'd never thought of that! Actually, I bought a 512K SRAM card from Pretec along with my 8 MEG flashram, so I've had lots of room for loading and storing programs. A friend and I experimented with adding sample "loops" and sounds to existing MIDI files and it worked fine. (We both work with Performer V6.03) I'm just beginning to imagine the possiblitities. .
