I have owned a QS8 since last December, using it for live performance in solo piano, dance band and fusion big band settings, and with notation software. Thanks to those of you who gave me comments earlier on amps, pedals and cases. I recently made a demo tape of solo jazz piano music, run directly into a tape deck. The sound was great, actually sounding like a grand piano in the studio. This led to a solo piano CD project in which we are considering running the QS8 directly into a 4 track tape, and then having a producer mix and master it into a CD. This got me thinking about what hardware and software I would need to record digitally at home, perhaps through my computer, a Compaq Pentium 133 MMX running Windows 98. I would appreciate any comments you have. Thanks.
