Hi all,

I'm looking to expand my percussion repetoire with the Spectrasonics "Burnin' Grooves" sample CD ROM. Fortunately, it comes in SampleCell format. I had a look at the Akai CD ROM sample listings (they didn't have any listings for the SampleCell version) and it said that 1 kit was 11 megabytes! I couldn't believe it! I was thinking about getting a DMPro with 8MB flash ROM but it wouldn't even fit on one card. It doesn't make much sense to me that 1 drum kit can be that big. Am I missing something?

Obviously I could just buy the audio CD and downsample the kits to save space but I really don't want to spend the time looping, making velocity adjustments etc. Check out the URL to see what I mean. Any help would be appreciated. If I can't get any kits on the DMPro, I'll have to buy a sampler instead.
