QS-R mix messages with Cakewalk

I use cakewalk guitar studio 8 (which is basically just cakawalk 8) with a QS-R.

I would like to know how to save the mix information in a cakewalk file so it will automatically
send it to the QS before playing the file? I think this is Sysex, but it is confusing. When I play the
sample midi files on the Alesis disk, Cakewealk even changes the display on the QS to match
the MIDI file. Where is this parameter saved?

Also, I have a cool sequence that I downloaded that has some sysex info at the begining. Can
this just be deleted? It is a problem because I made a mix that is saved in my QS the way I like
it, but the first measure of the MIDI file messes up the sounds. If I change the dial on the QS up
one mix, then back to the mix I like, the right sounds come back, but I would like to avoid this extra
step.

Thanks in advance
Chris
