: I own a QS8 and am looking to upgrade from the Cubasis.

: I specifically am looking for the best quality software for the money.

: Since I'm trying to keep costs down, I don't need or want sequencing software that records audio files.

: But I need something with more power and options than Cubasis.

: I've been considering Cakewalk, but it appears that everything except their "entry-level" software records audio in addition to MIDI.

: If you have advice, please e-mail me at: gregrjones@msn.com.

: Thanks,

Greg,
One sequencer you might look at is PG Musics' Powertracks Pro Ver.5.It offers 48 tracks of Midi or Audio(Provided you have the hard drive space)
It also has built in effects, does notation, allows you to import backing,or drum tracks from cd,and only costs $29.00.I don't know how they are able to sell it so cheap but it is good software. It also will run audio tracks from a standard sound card. The only thing is that it isn't available for Macs.
