And don't forget the "Nice".. a late 60's pre-ELP band on an LP called "Ars Longa Vita Brevis"
featuring KE in an awesome pre-synth Hammond organ tour-de-force (I wonder if this album ever
made it to CD.. warrants a web search perhaps). I've just gone and dug out the tattered LP
copy I have of it from an attic orange crate.. "Immediate" is the record label.. shows two
other guys flanking a young KE (drummer & guitarist, I guess.. the liner doesn't say who's who,
though the song credits call out a Jackson and a Davison in addition to KE on most of the tracks)
If you can locate it for a listen, you will be treated to a cover of Bernstein's "America" (from "West Side Story").
Unbelievable! And there's also a guitar solo on that tune.. don't know which of those other guys did it,
but it almost rivals Hendrix in its presence & power.
