Hi,
check if the midi interface on the PC is working properly.
Being able to send but not to receive looks like a possible IRQ conflict.
Suggestion: Get another keyboard to check the MIDI input or build a midi loop through MIDI IN and MIDI THRU on your QS to loop-back data to the sequencer. See if the IN lamp flashes on the sequencer when playing sequences then.
PS: Have you told your sequencer which INPUT port you want to use?
