Actually, I own both the Kurzweil PC88mx and the QS8. I use the PC88mx along with a QSR in my band, and use the QS8 at home basically for recording in Cakewalk and practice. There are some voices on the PC88 I believe are superior to the QS8. The general midi implementation is better on the PC88 (my opinion) but then there are voices on the QS8/QSR that can't be accomplished with the PC88. The PC88 is not a synth anyway, it was intended as a master keyboard controller. It just had "sounds" built in, which made it better than just a plain vanilla midi keyboard controller.
