I bought my QS8 locally (AL&M in Norfolk, VA) for
$1299. It was a special deal they got from Alesis
for 15% off when they ordered a 2nd QS8 for each.
I've seen $1350 by other folks online, but not sure
where they were shopping.
I've been shopping for a sampler and have noticed
that 8th Street Music has good prices. Their
QS8 is $1395. (http://www.8thstreet.com)
I values my QS8 mostly as a nice feeling weighted
88-key piano. I also have a 5 foot baby grand
that I hesitate to play at two in the morning
when I can't sleep. If you're mainly
sequencing and don't care about the piano quality
of the keyboard, the QS7 has most of the nice
features of the QS8.
