Hi,
Once upon a time, many years ago (not so many) I played with a drummer who had an Alesis E-drum (which should not be too different from what you have) and it was very sensitive to peaks on the power-line. So we put it on battery supply (no joke, I could tell some stories about that thing)
However, as it uses both half-waves from the AC voltage, we needed two batteries (for positive AND negative voltage). We took two Lead-Adid dry accus (motorcycle batteries).
I don't know the exact specs any more but I think the drum module was supposed to take 0.5 A current from each battery. With a capacity of 6 Ah (Ampere-hours) this should work for about ten hours.
However, we did whole-evening gigs with that equipment without recharging during the breaks.

Sounds like a bad joke, but it's true.

Markus

PS: This drummer was an electronics pro ('pro' means that he earnt his living in engineering).
If you are not quite sure what this is about better think twice before running first to the motorcycle-shop and then maybe for the fire-extinguisher ;-)
