: If I understand correctly, the $1250 QS8 is a refurbished series ("new" units that may have been sent back for service that had replacement parts installed). The QS7, I hadn't heard about refurbs but I suppose thats possible too. I bought a Yorkville 300K keyboard amp for my QS8 under the same premise. Haven't had any trouble with the refurb amp.

Yeah,the woodwind and the brasswind has been selling
the QS7 for $899 for a couple of months now (new).
It seems that something is up, but I can't quite put
