I have problems when trying to use the QS as a sound module (what your basically doing in Multitimbral Mix Mode) at the same time trying to use it as an input device.

What I do is play the voices on the sound card while I play the keyboard in program mode, set page to desired channel #, Then later switch all the voices to the QS. The QS voices sound better than my sound card.

I don't use Cubase (CakeWalker) but there should be a midi devices setup. Midi out is where you send to the synth, then they sould be some sound card driver to be to your sound card. In cakewalk the top device is port one, and under that port 2. You change where you want to send the track by changing the port.

You would also need to add the instrument definition to your sequencer, so you can see the names of the synth voices in your sequencer.

Like I say I'm not a Cubassist so.. When it's set up right you should be able in program mode to change voices in your software and see them change on your synth. You won't see this happen in mix mode, but you can page through and check that the voices have changed.

Sounds more confusing the more I type, better stop, let me know if this is in any way useful.
