: : Is it in my head, or does a patch sound different when played in Program mode

: : in Mix mode with the patches I wanted, as the manual instructed, but when played
: : in this mode, the sound is just not the same. It's not nearly as full as the

: : Thanks in advance for any replys.

: No, you're not missing something. In propgram mode, the QS uses effects specific to that program, but in Mix mode, it uses the same effects for the entire mix. So if your program depends heavily on the effects to produces its special sound, you're not going to get the right sound in mix mode.

: I'm not 100% sure, but I believe the effects from the program in the first channel are applied to the entire mix.

That's not always true; you can select which channel's effects will be applied to the mix, and you can even use the slider to select these on the fly while you listen. Press the "edit" button", then the "80" button (which is also labelled "effects"). Then you can select what you want to do by selecting which page you want to work on (there are only two pages here, use the "page" buttons to select.) I will _not_ tell you what I had to go through to understand this, even with help from Alesis! I'm telling you this from memory, so if it doesn't work out quite right, experiment, or let me know and I'll check my facts again!
