Michael,
I think what you need to do is to turn on the echo mode in cubasis, i don't know where the echo mode is at n
cubasis, bcuz i own a cakewalk, but it must has it. Turn the qs8 to ch1-16 mode, and when trying to record channel 2,
point the source of incoming midi at channel 2, (that way, cubasis will play back channel 2 will you hit the key board)
it will also echo back channel 1, while you trying to recod 2.
