What would this do exactly, I mean what would you control? I haven't did any sysex commands. I thought you would just use the audio out of the QS6 into the recorder.

If you use the serial interface, you wouldn't need midi at all. I don't think any sound cards that come with notebooks have midi capabilities, but I may be wrong.
