I thing that is good to give and take some ideas for using the flash cards. Since i bought my card i try to find an easy way to use new samples.
I must say it is very difficult to make a really nice patch from scratch. The QS parametres are so many and the time is very little. I had an idea and so far is working fine.

Example:

I downloaded a cello sample from Kurzweil's free samples (which are the best i found free at web. The address is http://www.youngchang.com/kurzweil/ and look for the FTP with free sounds)and then i converted it to Sample Cell PC instrument with Awave (http://hem.passagen.se/fmj/fmjsoft.html)

After i compiled my Flash card i copied the Cello patch from the GenMIDI bank to USER bank and simply changed the sample group and sample source to one i compiled to my Flash card.

The point is that i can use the program settings of the Alesis patches but with the new much better samples from the card. The result is excellent.

And don't forget the 3.000 patches in Ultimate Unisyn Library. Just find a patch that you like you keep the program settings and you change the sample with one from the card.

Try it and you 'll have professional sounds without much trouble.

If anyone has other ideas or want to tell something about it just send follows.
