QS6 v S4 Plus

Hi everyone!

I'm looking to purchase my first synthesiser (having played guitar and piano for approx 12 years) and the QS6 is pretty much at the top of my shortlist.

However, another dealer has a "cheap" QS4 Plus for sale. This particular dealer doesn't usually carry Alesis synth gear and have not been able to tell me much about it. The Alesis Web Site isn't much help since the model is discontinuted. Since the QS6 and S4 Plus are at different stores, I can't audition them "head to head".

I note form these pages that the S4 Plus has 20MB rom compared to the QS6 which has 8MB. Does this mean the S4 Plus is "better", or a more capable unit than the QS6? Are the samples/waveforms of a higher standard on the S4 Plus? Can one use Qcards with the S4 Plus or will only the QuadraCards work? Is it worth getting the QS6 over the S4 Plus just for the CD ROM?

Are there any other fundamental differences (apart from keyboard vs module!) that I should be aware of?

I would be most grateful if someone could help me on this...
