I have an AWE64 gold card that I use to record audio tracks. I understand that it is only 16 bit and has a high signal to noise ratio. It has a S/PDIF digital input.
I was looking at an effects processor that has 20 bit A/D conversion, and has a S/PDIF output. I should be able to plug this into my sound card through the S/PDIF jacks and get better audio tracks.(I would hope)
Has anyone tried this or similar set ups? Does Alesis make a keyboard with S/PDIF output?
