: Cakewalk may be filtering out Aftertouch messages. I know it's capable of recording them, but you may have (inadvertantly) set it to filter out after touch.

: I'm not sitting where my software is, but I think the change you want to make can be found in the Settings menu item. Poke around there and you should be able to find it. There will be a list of about eight things that could be recorded, with check marks indicating which events actually are recorded. My guess is Channel After touch is not checked.

: Also note that the QS-6 has channel after touch and not note after touch. That means that the After Touch effect turns on for all notes if any are pressed hard enough (as opposed to only those notes that are pressed hard enough to activate the effect.)

: I've also noticed that the control bar sends Expression in MIDI regardless of what effect has been assigned outside of MIDI. That could be just the way I have it set up.

I found it, type filter, and key aftertouch and channel aftertouch was unchecked. I checked channel aftertouch, and that should fix it. Thanks
