Although programming the FX units of QS synths seems to be a task incompatible with the limits of the human mind, it can be done (even a journalist writing for the german issue of KEYBOARDS admitted that he hadn't understood the principle of the FX-unit, nor did he succeed in making any significant changes, as I understand)

NO! It can be done!

Take any sound (program) and switch off voices 2,3,4.
Now you route the output of this sound to effects bus # 1 and TURN THE OUTPUT OFF (to hear the effects, not the pure sound).

Now you'd better have a look at this f*unky manual (which isn't THAT bad, really!), especially the pages where the effect configurations are described.
Main problem for most people seems to be that the FX blocks can be connected in SERIES (one behind the other), as well as PARALLEL or anything in between (!).
Programming this thing is real work, but it's worth the time.
