Hmm...

Playing sequences is a snap, but I'm disappointed in finding out that I can't transmit MIDI from the sequence. SoundBridge, then, is misleading in that it gives you the option in "MIDI Out Select" to be either keyboard or sequence. The help file states that setting MIDI Out Select to Sequence can be used to trigger external devices - but the keyboard won't transmit MIDI from a stored sequence. Yikes!

It wasnt so bad, though. I just had to play the tracks individually and load them up as audio into ProTracks. And it wasn't too big a deal to line up the tracks - at least this time. I was lucky because the mix for the song I recorded only had four active channels, and I played all the rest of the instruments live. But it'll be a real pain if I have tracks that provide only occassional embelishments, or a mix that has all sixteen channels active.

In any case, it adds a bunch of studio time to the session, and reduces my control over individual tracks. Does anyone have a workaround?
