I haven't tried Cubasis yet, but I have finally manged to get "Sound Bridge" working, after several weeks of agonizing over configurations. Some suggestions:

1) Make sure your MIDI Mapper (in Windows 3.1 Control Panel) is set to "External Synth". (Can't help if you have Windows 95 or MAC.)

2) If you are using the Alesis serial port, make sure you have installed the serial port driver from CD. I couldn't get the PC and synth to comunicate with the serial port, but it worked with midi cables connected to the sound card joy stick port. If you use midi cables, disable Alesis serial port driver (also in MIDI mapper).
3) Contact Adam Brisben at alecorp@alesis1.usa.com. He has been quite helful to me.
