QS8 LCD cable orientation?

I think I fried the LCD board on my QS8 by plugging
in the cable the wrong way. The display lights up,
but the synth doesn't play. I've ordered another board,
but want to make sure I don't fry it too. Is it pin 1 (red edge of flat cable) toward the top of the main board? Any schematics, or advice?
