    : Hi,
: Can anyone suggest how to back up program and mixes directly from a RAMCard to a computer?
: The only solution I've seen is to transfer each bank to the user bank and then
: send it to a computer but I want to avoid this if possible.

: Also, I was wondering if anyone can recommend their favorite editor/librarian for
    : the QS synths. I have a QS6, and Win 2000 system.

    : Thanks so much!
    : Ben

Ben, the only way to back up the Q-card banks via midi dump is through the user bank as you've been told. It's good to back up your user bank anyway so, even though there are a couple of extra steps, it's not too bad. The Freeloader application that comes on the CD-ROM from Alesis (also available as a download from their website) is a good utility for bank and\or individual preset dumps. As for an editor\Librarian program, there are several to choose from, though I use SoundDiver from Emagic. I'm not sure if they have drivers for Win2000 or not, check their website. I do know that Apple bought them out so you can pretty much forget anything new for PC users from them.
