Same thing happens to me! Same burst of data, the clue is in the manual in regards to not switching from from General midi to Multi Midi while playing I think. I thought it was a problem with just my keyboard. I have searched for a work around, but my efforts have not been rewarded. I have tried sending to a blank silent patch first then have the sequence change to the multi I want to sequence externally. Have some other ideas?
    : Hi,

: I am using a QS6.1, Yamaha EX5, 2 Flash cards, Cakewalk Express and Soundbridge. I can transfer MIDI files (from the internet) to my Flashram card(s), BUT if I click on the Sequence while in Soundbridge to select 'SEND TO MIDI OUT' port, the EX5 (or other keyboards I've tried) spits out a LOUD burst of MIDI 'Junk' then the sequence starts. IF I turn the QS6.1 off before each SEQ start routine it is okay, but I can't do this when we're live!! The first sequence I select plays fine, but ANY sequence (even the same one) I play after that has this loud 'burst'. If I let the Flashcard play the QS's internal module, it is fine.....I need to send the sequence to the MIDI out, because the EX5 has an OUT 1 - OUT 4 that I can send a timing tick sound to the drummer and it doesn't go throught the monitors or mains.

    : Any ideas??
