Dear list memebers,

Can I ask your advice?

Ten days ago over the internet I bought the synthesizer Alesis QS6.1 from one of Alesis dealers, VICTOR LITZ MUSIC CENTER INC. in the United States.

Now I have discovered the instrument has a serious defect. While pressing one particular key on the keyboard the sound begins to vibrate with much lighter touch than pressing the other keys.

I have lodged a complaint with both the supplier and the manufacturer. However, they insist that this defect must have been caused while shipping. It seems very unlikely to me though.

I live in Bristol, U.K. As it turned out, the warranty resides in the US. So I feel totally unprotected and frustrated about the whole business with the instrument.

Do you have any suggestion how I could proceed?

Sincerely,

Agita Luse
