There's indeed another way to go, which is also the one I use but it will give you a lot of work (nevertheless, once done it's over).

The Mix mode uses the programs, and each program has different assignments for the 4 sliders. You can assign reverb, Fx sends etc for each slider and that's probably the way to go. The trouble is that you can only edit and store the programs in the user bank, meaning you would have to:

1. Copy the necessary programs to your user bank
2. Assign the sliders for FX/Reverb/etc control
3. Pick these new programs and put it in your mix

On the other hand, be sure about which of the programs is the FX channel for your mix, so that you can get what you really want.
