Great information, thanks Paul

I am looking for a module, and I am considering Roland JV-1010 and Alesis QSR.

I have an Alesis QS6.1 but I would like to play sequences in the module instead the keyboard, gaining additional slots for the Qcards I already have.

In you opinion, Is it a great having QS7.1 and QSR at the same time, or you would prefer to have another module instead?

: : Hi everyone,

: : I use flash ram cards to play sequences in my QS6.1, and I would like to know if the QSR module have the same feature

: I have both QS7.1 and QSR. Both sequence well with flashram cards BUT,my qsr will NOT use metal pretec fad008 cards, it MUST use black ceramic pretec fad008 cards. The QS7.1 uses both metal and ceramic. The qsr also does not allow the option of playing one qsr midi channel from a keyboard controller while the other qsr midi channels are playing the sequences (in other words, you can't play "live" with the sequence on the qsr). The qs7.1 does allow for channel solo ("live play")while the other channels play sequences. However, the qsr can play multiple simultaneous midi channels (in a mix) from a controller keyboard that can only send one midi channel. Qs7.1 can only play multiple midi channels from it's own keyboard (mixes). Or to put it simply, the qsr can play 16 simultaneous midi channels ("group channels")from a one channel el-cheapo keyboard, i.e. my evolution mk149. That's actually pretty heavy-duty for a module. So there are trade-off's. PW
