Many thanks for such a comprehensive answer.
A couple of quick followup questions, if you don't mind.
First, it occurs to me to check which version of Alesis' MicroLogic AV you're running. What I have is 3.6.1.
Also, in using OMS with a USB MIDI interface, what do you do in the setup process when it presents you with the printer & modem serial ports as your only options for routing? Just ignore it?
