changing range of pitch bend wheel to control outside module...

Hi all,

I know there must be a simple way to do this: The pitch wheel on my QS6.1 is set to go up and down a whole step. I want to change it to a minor third. The wrinkle is, I am using the Alesis keyboard as a master controller and want to control a JV-1010 making a program in IT respond to the QS6.1 pitch wheel. I've searched hi and low to find an answer, but have had no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
