HELP!! I have a EWS88d card and it is hooked up to one of my ADAT XT's. I cant get any program to play anything on this card above 16 bits and for some reason I cant get the audio from the card to the ADAT. The light pipes are connected correctly but...... no audio.

: I have terratec ews88d (pc adat sound card) with a light pipe to my qs8.1 and all is well. I had this same setup on a slower machine and experienced "crackling" but that was due to the slow hd. also it could be because of timing. i have the qs8.1 using it's own clock at 44.1k and have the card set as slave and detects the qs8.1 -- if that is not in sync, you can get some "hollow-sounding" noise in your recording. Hope this feedback gives some insight!

: : trying to record qsr to adat staying digital. using light pipe from qsr to adat. adat set to digital input. intermittent cracking sound. replaced with a known good optical cable and same cracking. no response from alesis. both units working correctly other than cracking sounds, which peg the meters when they occur. any thoughts would be appreciated. thanks in advance pat.
