: Hi

: As you probably know, the Roland A-30 midi controller can manage two midi channels

: I want to use the A-30 to control my QS6.1, but I have several mixes there using three midi channels

: Could I control this kind of QS6.1 mixes with the A-30?

: Thanks,

Someone else asked a similar question a few days ago about doing this type of thing with a Korg. Since then I have investigated a little bit and can't find a way to do it unless a different midi channel is used for each channel in a mix. I also have an S4+ module and it has a function in Global mode called "Group channel" which allows any of the 16 channels to respond to the single channel set there. The QS6.1 doesn't have this function as far as I can tell, unless it's buried somewhere in the Mix edit mode under a different name. I don't know why it was omitted, but Alesis has a way of leaving useful features out of the OS on it's synths.
