Has anyone besides me had trouble with a non-functioning key on the QuadraSynth
Plus Piano? The thing started malfunctioning about a week ago, several years
beyond the warranty period: To get the G# above middle C to produce any sound
at all I have to strike the key at an angle (down and to the left), and harder than
usual, too. The keyboard is virtually unusable in this condition as an independent
instrument, which is the way I usually use it. This doesn't impair the output of
the G# when I send a midi composition into the instrument from my PC, however.
The keyboard has never been subjected to physical abuse. I've always handled it
gently when moving it to another location, and it has never been stored under
temperatures or humidity. My touch when playing it is rather light, too.
I live in an area where there are no authorized technicians for this kind of instrument.
I opened the case, but stopped short of taking the keyboard circuitry apart to try and
clean the contacts, because I'm afraid of destroying something.
Any suggestions someone might have would be greatly appreciated!
