Changing Device ID-QS or S4 Plus?

I've had to make a change to my midi studio so that my S4 and QS8 share the same modem port. QS8 is master(in and out), S4 is connected from the Thru of the QS8. Problem is, both have Device ID of 0. I change it in OMS, but change isn't permanent. How do I get these to show up as different devices so they're both not firing the same MIDI channels? Thanks n advance!
